In light of the world circumstances, the 49th BVI Spring Regatta and Sailing Festival is now scheduled for March 29-April 4, 2021.

‘What’s not to Love about the BVI Spring Regatta’ remains the theme for the 49th edition of the regatta and those words couldn’t be more fitting.  The event will include more classes and opportunities for sailors from across the Caribbean and the globe to come to the British Virgin Islands and experience fantastic racing, with warm tropical winds and water.

The race week will include the two-day Sailing Festival followed by the 49th BVI Spring Regatta which kicks off the three-day weekend with the second Annual Mount Gay Race Day on Friday April 2.  The regatta will include racing over multiple courses, with expanded classes and competition with some of the fastest, top competitors from the Caribbean and around the world.

Each night brings the teams back to the Regatta Village located shoreside of the Outer Marina at Nanny Cay Marina and Resort.  Nanny Cay, a long-standing sponsor, has signed on for the next two years to see the event reach its milestone of running 50 years of great racing in 2022.

“As sponsor and host of the BVI Spring Regatta and Sailing Festival we have created a ‘regatta family’ and have collectively built the reputation of the event and the marina to the standard and quality that it is today,” commented Miles Sutherland-Pilch, General Manager of Nanny Cay Resort and Marina.  “The event is a signature of the British Virgin Islands and has been a huge voice to the world to come back to the BVIs. We are not only back up and running, as Nanny Cay has completed major works including both the Inner and Outer Marinas. Visitors can enjoy new docks, water, fuel and renovated hotel rooms,” he said proudly.

The Royal BVI Yacht Club (OA) and BVI Chamber of Commerce, as partners, are ready to welcome you to the 49th BVI Spring Regatta and Sailing Festival.  Protocols from the BVI Government will be updated and adhered to.
