Flying the flag at Cowes Week

As Cowes Week celebrated its 200th anniversary, the BVI Spring Regatta was there with the BVI Tourist Board flying the flag and serving rum drinks.



Throughout the week over 914 visitors the BVI Tourist Board booth, where guests were able to experience the destination through the VR headset. Two of their favourite virtual reality experiences were 𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗩𝗶𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗻 𝗜𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀, which offers an immersive look at BVI culture and 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗹𝘂𝗲, which showcases the BVI’s underwater marine life.



The BVI team held a post-race reception at Moo Cow, where more than 80 media, sailors, residents, industry partners and friends of the BVI came together and enjoyed Caribbean canapés, signature Painkillers and a Caribbean Fruit Punch Mocktail.


This week also provided further opportunities to connect with key members of the sailing and tourism community, including members of the Royal BVI Yacht Club, Royal Ocean Racing Club, Caribbean Sailing Association and LV Yachting.
